Northwind Candle Co. is a small studio making a small library of soy candles. No seasonal rotation of forty options, no warehouse full of gimmicks — eight scents we believe in, poured the same afternoon they’re shipped.
Each one lives in an amber apothecary jar, wears a cotton wick, and burns clean for roughly fifty hours. Nothing revolutionary — just quiet, careful work.
100% U.S.-grown soy. No paraffin, no dyes, no shortcuts in the pour room.
Braided cotton, lead-free, sized to the jar for an even melt pool from the very first burn.
We pour to order in batches of forty at a time. Fresher scent throw, better burn, less to store.
The Collection

Each candle is poured to order in an 8 oz amber apothecary jar. Same wax, same wick — only the scent library grows.
Cedarwood
Split logs, damp bark, a warm hearth in a snowbound cabin.
Sea Salt
Coastal air, dune grass, a cold Atlantic morning walked barefoot.
Vanilla Bean
Split pods, brown butter, the good kitchen at the end of a long day.
Balsam Fir
Fresh-cut boughs, cold woodsmoke, the first frost in the pines.
Same pour, every time
8 oz of pure soy wax, a single cotton wick, room-temperature cured for two full days before it leaves the workshop.

Our craft

Northwind Candle Co is a small candle house. Every jar is measured, poured, wicked, cured and labeled by hand in the same room — the same way the first batch was, and the same way the next one will be.
We use 100% American-grown soy wax, cotton wicks, and clean fragrance oils — no paraffin, no dyes, no synthetic dispersants.
- Soy wax
- U.S.-grown, non-GMO soy — clean-burning, no soot.
- Burn time
- Around 45 hours from an 8 oz jar, trimmed and burned in 4-hour sittings.
- Fragrance
- Phthalate-free oils, blended in small lots and tested against every wick before a batch runs.
- Made to order
- Cured for 48 hours before packing, so most orders leave within three days.
